JunieXR Earns International Recognition at Creative Business Cup Global Finals

Eirmersive member Grace Dinan, Founder of JunieXR, has received international recognition for her innovative accessibility technology following a successful journey through the 2026 Creative Business Cup competition.
In August, JunieXR was named the national winner of Creative Business Cup Ireland 2026, securing the opportunity to represent Ireland at the prestigious Creative Business Cup Global Finals in Copenhagen. The achievement marked a significant milestone for the company and highlighted the growing impact of Irish innovation in the creative technology sector.
The judging panel selected JunieXR for its pioneering solution, JunieStream, a platform that brings sign language interpretation, adaptive captions and interactive accessibility features directly into streaming and video-on-demand services. By embedding accessibility tools within the viewing experience, without requiring separate applications or changes to original content, JunieStream is helping broadcasters and content providers deliver more inclusive digital experiences.
Following her selection, Grace travelled to Copenhagen to compete alongside creative entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries. Reflecting on the opportunity, she acknowledged the support of CREW and the Western Development Commission, as well as project partners including the European Union of the Deaf, TG4 and ROC Interpreting. She also highlighted the support of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, in association with Animation Ireland, in helping to advance JunieStream's development and bring the technology closer to audiences.
JunieXR's success continued at the Global Finals, where Grace delivered a compelling international pitch for JunieStream. Her presentation earned the company a Special Mention from the Creative Business Cup jury, recognising both the innovation and social impact of the technology.
As part of the award, JunieXR was invited to participate in the inaugural Arctic Circular Economy Summit, bringing together creative businesses from the Nordic and Northern Atlantic regions. The invitation provides a valuable platform for further international collaboration, knowledge exchange and market development.
The recognition underlines the global relevance of accessibility-focused innovation and demonstrates how Irish creative technology companies are addressing real-world challenges through immersive and emerging technologies.
