Strengthening Defence Training Through Immersive Technology
It’s been a busy period for VRAI, whose mission it is to redefine exceptional human performance through data driven training.
First they announced their collaboration with Exail, highlighted at Eurosatory in Paris. Exail is a leading high-tech industrial group specializing in robotics, maritime, navigation, aerospace, photonics and quantum technologies. They are joining forces with VRAI to bring next generation training simulation to mission critical customers in Ireland.
“Leveraging Exail’s proven track record supporting customers such as the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and the French Gendarmerie, combined with VRAI’s HEAT platform for human performance data and AI capabilities, this strategic partnership aims to support Irish mission critical customers with next generation training solutions. Together, we are driving operational readiness forward.”
Second, VRAI visited the Irish Defence Forces at the Curragh, a visit that provided an opportunity for their team to engage directly with instructors and training personnel, gaining valuable insight into how immersive technologies are being used in practice and how VRAI platforms such as ReACT and HEAT can continue to evolve to meet operational training needs.
By working closely with those delivering and undertaking training, VRAI is helping to ensure that immersive solutions remain aligned with real-world requirements, while using data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
The team also visited the simulation facilities used by the Irish Defence Forces to prepare for the prestigious Sullivan Cup competition, demonstrating how immersive simulation technologies can support readiness, confidence, decision-making, and performance in high-pressure environments.
Initiatives like this highlight the growing role of immersive technologies in defence and professional training, and the value of ongoing collaboration between technology developers and end users. Congratulations to the VRAI team and the Irish Defence Forces for their continued commitment to innovation and excellence in training.
