Building Ireland’s CreaTech sector, at the National Concert Hall.
By Camille Donegan, CEO at Eirmersive
Last week's discussion on 'Building Irelands CreaTech Sector' left me feeling optimistic.
Thanks to Laura Magahy from Forvis Mazars In Ireland for welcoming everyone and setting the scene.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with Danny McCoy, CEO of Ibec, Drew Banerjee MD of EGG Post Production and VFX, expertly moderated by Rónán Ó Muirthile of Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, as we explored how creativity, technology and innovation can drive Ireland's next wave of growth.

The opportunity is clear. Irish creative technology companies are already delivering world-class work across sectors ranging from healthcare and advanced manufacturing to tourism, culture and education both nationally and internationally.
The question is how can we better support their growth and help more organisations adopt these technologies with confidence.
For me, the answer lies in stronger collaboration, challenge-led innovation, accessible world-class infrastructure and equipment and continued investment in the skills and capabilities that will define the future economy.
Equally important is the data piece. We need robust benchmarking of the Digital Creative Industries to fully understand and demonstrate the sectors value to the Irish economy. I'm pleased to see this work progressing through the objectives of the Roadmap for Digital Creative Industries.
Great to see so many familiar faces at the discussion as we come together to push this important agenda Louise Allen, Gareth Lee, Susan Kirby, Stephen Murnane, Willie White and Karen Walshe (to name but a few!)
Thank you to Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and Forvis Mazars In Ireland for creating the space for the conversation, and to everyone who contributed their ideas and perspectives.
