Immersive Futures arrives in Belmullet
What a day in the west for Immersive Futures! π
Last week, Eirmersive brought the Immersive Futures Workshop Series to Belmullet Civic Centre and the room was something special.
On Thursday 16th April, we were joined by one of the most a fantastic group made up of educators, marketers, filmmakers, events professionals, people already working in the immersive sector and complete newcomers who had never encountered this technology before. From students to seasoned practitioners, everyone was in the room, asking questions and getting stuck in! π
π‘ Highlights from the day included:
- Demos of Animotive and Lureo by Imvizar, both of which landed brilliantly with the group and sparked a lot of discussion about real-world applications.
- Hands-on time with a VR headset and AR demos from some of our Eirmersive members.
- Practical sessions covering DeepMotion, LUMA AI, virtual production toolsets for 2D animation and AI-powered 2D-to-3D asset creation.
- Expert facilitation from Camille Donegan, David Toolan, Ryan Mckenna, Shane Ross Murphy, Sean Burns and Jess Harkin, who brought expertise, energy and plenty of time for any question in the room.
- And last but not least, a truly collaborative atmosphere that reminded us why we take these workshops on the road!
A big thank you to our hosts at Belmullet Civic Centre for hosting us, to everyone who joined us and to FΓs Γireann/Screen Ireland for supporting the Immersive Futures series through the Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme.
More workshops coming soon! π
