Founded by Grace Dinan, JunieXR was recognised for JunieStream, an innovative accessibility solution that delivers sign language interpretation, adaptive captions and interactive viewing features directly within streaming platforms. By putting accessibility controls into the hands of viewers, without requiring a separate application or changes to the original content, JunieStream is helping broadcasters and content providers create more inclusive digital experiences.
For Eirmersive, this recognition is significant not only for JunieXR, but for Ireland's wider immersive technology ecosystem. JunieXR's success demonstrates how immersive technologies are increasingly being applied to real-world challenges, creating impactful solutions that combine innovation, accessibility and social inclusion. It is a powerful example of how Ireland's XR sector continues to evolve beyond entertainment and into areas that can deliver meaningful benefits for audiences, businesses and communities.
The Creative Business Cup is designed to connect creative entrepreneurs with investors, international markets and the global startup ecosystem, providing a platform for innovative companies across sectors including design, media, gaming, film and immersive technologies to scale internationally. The selection of an XR company as Ireland's national winner reflects the growing strength, maturity and international competitiveness of the country's immersive technology sector.
Joining Grace in Copenhagen will be Miguel Escobar, founder of Galway-based Mekkato CreaTech Studio Ltd., whose flagship product, ScriptGuru, uses AI-powered tools to support story development across the screen industry.
As an industry network dedicated to supporting the growth of immersive technologies in Ireland, Eirmersive is delighted to see one of our members recognised on this international platform. Grace's achievement highlights the quality of talent and innovation emerging from Ireland's XR community and underscores the potential for immersive technologies to address global challenges through creative and user-centred solutions.
We wish Grace and the JunieXR team every success as they represent Ireland in Copenhagen and showcase the innovation, ambition and impact of Ireland's immersive technology sector to a global audience.
